Compositions
With some of the listed works, you can look at a PDF sample of the score, and/or listen to a
(sometimes computerised) realisation. The MP3 files of the realisations are about 1MB per minute, so probably
are a bit heavy for dial-up links.

| Horn Concerto |

I wanted to create a cohesive work which explored the expressiveness and power of the horn,
without forcing it into those uncharacterstic extremes which one so often hears.
As a tonal foundation, I used a scale of alternating whole- and half-tones. As the three movements
progress, more and more freedom is is given to combine and modulate, with the rousing ending
establishing a strong E major.
